WHO / WHAT:
East Wind Nannies is seeking warm, dependable, and engaging individuals — often retired or in a more flexible season of life — to support a collection of kind, respectful families throughout Pittsburgh.

This is a beautifully flexible role designed for someone who enjoys children, values meaningful connection, and is looking for light, purposeful work without long-term commitment or rigid scheduling.

THE ROLE
You’ll step into thoughtfully run households to provide occasional support — offering a calm, capable presence while parents work or attend commitments.

Days are simple and enjoyable:
• Reading, conversation, and imaginative play
• Time outdoors
• Light snacks and meals
• Creating a steady, reassuring environment for children

This is not a high-demand position — it’s about presence, warmth, and reliability.

FLEXIBILITY, BY DESIGN
Shifts are posted through our app, and you’re free to accept only what fits your schedule.

No minimum hours required
No ongoing schedule to manage
Work occasionally or more regularly — entirely your choice
Have at least 4 days of weekday availability a month.

COMPENSATION & SUPPORT
• $18–25/hour
• W-2 employment (simple, streamlined payroll)
• Direct deposit
• Workers compensation coverage

We seek candidates who’ve had a minimum of 3 years of recent childcare experience, with at least 2 years as a professional nanny (meaning you’ve nannied for non-family members for 20-40 hours/week), or a teacher, therapist, behavior interventionist, or working in a childcare center. Do you have this experience?*
