Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: Some families hand you a long household to-do list. This family would rather hand you a baby and say, "Go have fun." They're looking for someone who will nurture curiosity, celebrate milestones, encourage imagination, and become a trusted part of their family's story for years to come.

Most of your days will be spent with an easygoing, smiley five-month-old who's just beginning to discover the world around her. As she grows, you'll fill her days with books, songs, neighborhood walks, tummy time, sensory play, and all the little moments that make baby's first years so magical. Once big brother is home from preschool, the adventure shifts gears. Think epic block towers, park adventures, climbing anything climbable, and plenty of opportunities to burn off three-year-old energy. He's bright, hilarious, wonderfully determined, and always ready for his next adventure.

One thing we especially admire about these parents is how thoughtfully they've designed this role. They believe children deserve your attention—not a never-ending household to-do list. Beyond washing bottles, your focus will simply be on nurturing, teaching, playing, and helping their little ones thrive. They've also intentionally structured the schedule so you won't be expected to care for both children on your own. During the day, big brother is at preschool, and when both children are home, a parent will also be present.

When you're not out exploring parks, visiting the pool, reading stacks of books, or finding the next great play space, you'll be part of a family that genuinely enjoys making memories together. They love saying "yes" to adventure—and they're hoping to find a nanny who feels the same way.

The kids may grow, routines may change, and Mom may eventually scale back her work schedule—but they're committed to keeping this a full-time role. Ideally, they'd love to find "their nanny," someone who becomes part of the family for years to come. At the same time, they know exceptional caregivers are worth being flexible for. If the very best fit is available for one or two wonderful years instead of forever, they'd rather have an incredible nanny for a season than settle for anything less.

They're not looking for just any nanny—they're searching for the very best one they can find. They know exceptional childcare is one of the greatest investments they can make during these precious early years, and they're eager to invest in the right person. They're looking for someone warm, experienced, playful, and deeply invested in childhood—and in return, they plan to be the kind of employers exceptional nannies hope to work for. They believe great caregivers deserve trust, respect, open communication, and genuine appreciation. If you've been waiting for a family who values you as much as you value your work, this just might be the one.

THE IDEAL NANNY IS…PRESENT! You're the kind of nanny who naturally gets down on the floor instead of watching from the couch. You narrate the world to babies, turn ordinary afternoons into little adventures, and somehow make reading the same book ten times feel just as exciting the tenth time. You're warm, patient, playful, and dependable to your core, communicating openly with parents and building the kind of trust that lets everyone breathe a little easier. You love both stages of early childhood—the snuggly baby months and the wonderfully busy toddler years—and you instinctively know when it's time to slow down for quiet cuddles or speed things up for an afternoon of imagination and play. Most importantly, you're hoping for more than your next position. You're looking for your next family.
