WHO/WHAT: Mom doesn't need someone to take over—she needs someone to tag in. With three kids, three different schedules, and a household energy level the family cheerfully rates a “10+,” she's looking for the kind of nanny who sees family life as a team sport. Mom recently stepped away from her career and plans to remain the kids' primary caregiver, so this is less "here are my children, see you at 5!" and much more divide, conquer, and enjoy the day together. Some hours you'll be hanging with their easygoing, sweet 1-year-old while Mom tackles homework with big brother; other times Mom may steal an hour of baby snuggles while you fold tiny laundry, prep fruit for the week, or reset the playroom. Mom is even the type who says, "If I'm making lunch, I'm making lunch for you too." They truly want someone who becomes an extension of their family.
Their easygoing 1-year-old will be your primary sidekick throughout the day while the older two attend school on varying schedules. You'll help Mom juggle school drop-offs and pickups (all within about 10 minutes of home), naps, meals, playtime, and the everyday logistics that inevitably come with three little humans.
When the kids are happily occupied or at school, you'll jump into family-assistant tasks: children's laundry, changing sheets, tidying bedrooms and the playroom, vacuuming kid spaces, bringing in groceries, chopping fruits and veggies, light dinner prep, and generally noticing the little things that make the household easier to manage. There's also one senior, hypoallergenic pup who needs to be let outside once or twice during the day and would happily join you and the baby for an occasional walk. Dad works from home but travels frequently and is in and out throughout the day. Mom is home and highly involved, so you'll need to genuinely enjoy working alongside parents rather than feeling like you need the house to yourself. The family keeps a consistent schedule but will abandon it in a heartbeat for something fun—pool days, parks, bike rides, ice cream, and time with their large circle of family friends are all favorites. Outings and playdates are encouraged, and the nanny can use their own vehicle or a family car if available. They'd also love someone who can occasionally flex earlier or later when Dad travels, with advance notice whenever possible.
Perhaps most importantly, these parents care deeply about treating employees the way they'd want to be treated themselves. They want open communication, mutual respect, and someone who feels comfortable in their home. They're hoping this isn't simply their nanny for the school year, but the person who stays for the next 3-4 years as all three kids eventually make their way into school.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS…A GET-IT-DONE TEAMMATE! You're proactive, organized, energetic, and blessed with that magical thing called common sense. You don't get overwhelmed by three schedules, a basket of clean laundry, a preschool pickup, and a toddler who suddenly needs a snack—all at the same time. You simply figure out what needs to happen next and jump in. You're equally happy playing on the floor with a one-year-old, being silly with a preschooler, or quietly connecting with a gentle school-aged kid. You're active and fun but also patient and kind. You're punctual, dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented, and you appreciate a family who likes their home clean and organized.
Most importantly, you don't keep score over whose "job" something is. Mom is making lunch? You reset the kitchen. Mom takes the baby? You switch the laundry. A grocery order arrives? You bring it in. Two kids need to be in two places? You and Mom divide and conquer. This is a true partnership with a mom who doesn't want someone to replace her—she wants someone alongside her who makes it possible to spend more time enjoying her kids and less time managing the chaos around them. If you're energized by busy family life, love being useful, and want to become an integral part of a warm family for the next several years, APPLY TODAY!
