Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Squirrel Hill

• Start Date: ASAP, but flexible for the perfect fit
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, with potential to move to 10:30am - 7:30pm a few days when the youngest is in daycare | 45 Hours Guaranteed
• Hourly Rate: $28-32/hour, anything above 40 hours a week is time and a half overtime pay
• Child: 2-year-old and 6-year-old

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: This exceptional Pittsburgh household is searching for a full-time, career nanny to join their team — someone loving, dependable, and ready to stay for years to come. Families like this don’t come around often — they treat their nannies with genuine appreciation and respect, creating a home where caregivers are happy and valued for the long haul. With both parents working demanding jobs and frequent travel on the calendar, they’re hoping to find a true third parent: someone warm, trustworthy, and eager to jump right into the heart of family life. Their sweet and imaginative daughter is in school full-time and lights up for after-school bike rides, elaborate LEGO villages, creative art projects, and big storytelling adventures with her stuffed animals. After pickup, you'll be her supportive guide for homework, violin lessons, and swim class. Her younger brother, a two-year-old bundle of curiosity and sweetness, will be your daytime sidekick — happiest when he’s trucking through the playground, marveling at construction sites, strolling outdoors, or discovering new worlds at the library or zoo. In the near future, he may also start part-time daycare in the mornings, which would give you time for light household tasks like children's laundry, tidying play spaces and bedrooms, prepping simple meals, and running occasional errands like mailing packages or picking up groceries. The family believes in hands-on, screen-free play (except for a short TV break in the evenings) and would love a nanny who’s excited to fill the days with wonder, movement, and creativity. Overnights will be needed about a weeknight once every six weeks — and the family offers overtime pay or lighter hours later in the week. The home atmosphere is calm, communicative, and grounded in a modern discipline approach — firm on big things like safety and responsibility, but easygoing about the little stuff. They're looking for a nanny who is genuinely present (not plugged into air pods or scrolling phones), who shows up on time without excuses, and who’s ready to invest in the daily joys and rhythms of their children's lives.
