Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: Some people are naturally gifted at bringing calm to busy environments. They notice the details others miss, thrive on organization, and find genuine satisfaction in anticipating needs before they become problems. This wonderful Fox Chapel family is searching for one of those people. This family has worked hard to build a life they love, but Dad's frequent travel, demanding careers, and family responsibilities require dependable, high-quality support behind the scenes. They aren't simply looking for someone to complete a checklist of tasks. They're hoping to find a skilled, experienced professional whose consistency, attention to detail, and follow-through help the household function at its best. This is not a role for someone hoping to learn household management on the job. The ideal candidate will confidently step into a busy environment, maintain established systems, and help keep life running smoothly.

Your role will focus primarily on keeping the household running smoothly, maintaining order and enabling efficiency within the home. Deep cleaning is handled by a housekeeper, so your attention will be on everyday upkeep, organization, and staying ahead of tasks.

Responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

 • Laundry, including washing, folding, ironing and steaming

 • Meal prep 2-3 days a week

 • Loading/unloading the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen clean

 • Making beds and picking up bedrooms

 • Light bathroom wipe-downs

 • Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting baseboards, tidying common areas

 • Grocery shopping, returning packages, dry cleaning, and errands

 • Restocking pantry and household supplies and keeping a running list of needs

 • Prepping swim bags, keeping the diaper bag stocked and prepping for family trips

 • Gift shopping, wrapping, donation drop-offs, and holiday decor help

 • One-off home projects (with guidance from the family) to help make the house their home

Childcare will be minimal and only as needed — perhaps a school pickup in a pinch or a quick helping hand with the girls. This family thrives on structure and consistency and keeps a very clean, organized home. They’re flexible on which days you work, but would love a predictable schedule of about 10-15 hours per week ideally across 2-3 days. Some weeks may require a bit more support when Dad is traveling or Mom’s schedule is heavier, with advance communication to coordinate needs.

THE IDEAL NANNY IS…SKILLED, EFFICIENT, AND METICULOUS. You don’t wait to be told what needs to be done — you naturally stay ahead of tasks and take pride in keeping a home running smoothly. You’re a true team player who works alongside families with confidence and initiative. You understand that in a busy household, small details matter. You take initiative, but aren’t afraid to ask questions if you need clarification. Accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through come naturally to you. Whether you're managing laundry, restocking supplies, or preparing for a trip, you take pride in producing consistently excellent work.

You respect established systems and enjoy maintaining them rather than reinventing them. Helpful, communicative, reliable, and punctual, you understand that consistency is what creates calm in a busy household. You take ownership of your work, and are always ready to roll up your sleeves to help, bringing a steady, capable presence into the home.

Most of all, you enjoy supporting a hardworking family so they can focus on enjoying the life they’ve built and being present with their children during these important years. If you love creating order, thrive in an active household, and enjoy being the behind-the-scenes hero who makes everything run better — APPLY today!
