*Household Manager/Nanny Role*

Start Date: Flexible for the perfect fit

Hours: Rotating 2-week schedule averaging 35-40 guaranteed hours/week. Mix of full days, afternoons, and flexible household-management hours

Hourly Rate: $35+

Children: 13-year-old, 9-year-old, and 6-year-old

Pets: 1 dog

Paid Vacation:

• 1 week paid family’s choice
• 1 week paid Nanny’s choice
• 3 sick or personal days
• All major holidays

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required

WHO/WHAT: If you’re ready to trade nap schedules for sports schedules, we should talk.

This is one of those wonderfully hard-to-fit-into-one-box positions. Part Family Assistant. Part Household Manager. Part Nanny. Part logistics person who somehow remembers that one child needs cleats on Wednesday, somebody has a school form due Friday, and there’s a birthday party this weekend that still requires an actual gift. The household includes three great kids who are busy becoming increasingly independent humans. Their worlds currently include sports, biking, chess, art, imaginative play, school, friends, homework, and an impressive number of places they need to be. So while childcare absolutely matters here, this isn't a position built around entertaining children from morning until night. The real job is helping family life work. Dad has the kids' schedules down to a science, so you won't be starting from scratch. He'll provide the roadmap; you'll help keep things running smoothly when life with kids inevitably requires a detour.

During kid hours, that may mean school pickup, homework oversight, getting everyone to practices and activities, helping with dinner, making sure tomorrow’s bags are packed, or navigating the occasional logistical miracle of getting two children to two different places at almost exactly the same time. During school hours or days when the children aren't home, you switch hats. Run a load of laundry. Freshen bedrooms. Make beds. Reset the kitchen. Vacuum or sweep. Handle a return. Schedule an appointment. Fill out the school form. Stay ahead of activity registrations. Order the birthday present. Meet a HVAC repairman at the house. Kids are leaving for Mom’s house? Reset their rooms, throw in laundry, straighten the common spaces, and leave things ready for when they return. An activity changes? Adjust. It's less about waiting for a perfectly written list and more about understanding the goal: keep the machine moving.

The children's schedule follows a two-week rotation between their parents, and Dad has a positive co-parenting relationship with their mom. Grandma lives in a nearby apartment and may occasionally be available to help. The goal, however, is for Grandma to get to be Grandma.

Dad himself is deeply involved with his children and doesn't need someone to replace his role. Quite the opposite. The more someone else can own the errands, help with driving children to activites, household resets, and behind-the-scenes details, the more freedom he has to simply enjoy being Dad when the kids are home. That’s really the heart of this position.

The family lives on a beautiful large property with plenty of space for bikes, sports, outdoor adventures, and kids being kids. Despite the busy calendars, the overall family vibe is refreshingly grounded. These are older children who should be encouraged to help, learn responsibility, entertain themselves, and grow increasingly independent—not kids who need an adult hovering over them every second.

A family vehicle will be provided while transporting the children. And if you happen to enjoy cooking? Huge bonus. Simple family meals or getting dinner started on busy afternoons would be genuinely appreciated.

THE SCHEDULE:

Week 1: Mon 7 AM–4 PM | Tues flexible 4–6 hrs | Wed 2–7/8 PM | Thurs 7 AM–7 PM | Fri 7 AM–4 PMWeek 2: Mon–Tues OFF | Wed flexible 4–6 hrs | Thurs 2–7/8 PM | Fri 7 AM–7 PM, Plus: Typically one weekend day

THE IDEAL NANNY IS…THE ONE WHO MAKES A BUSY HOUSEHOLD FEEL WEIRDLY EASY. You’ll shoot baskets, hear every detail about the school day, help with homework, drive somebody to practice, and somehow keep track of what needs to happen next. You’re organized, mature, emotionally steady, and easy to communicate with. You notice details, ask smart questions, take feedback in stride, and feel confident making judgment calls when needed. Basically, you like logistics—but you also really like kids.

And when the kids are with you? Go enjoy them. Hop in the brand-new Escalade, grab the family credit card, go to lunch, find something fun, and make an ordinary afternoon memorable. Dad isn’t handing you the credit card so you can stress over every dollar—he’s handing it to you because he trusts you. This family already knows what a great long-term fit can look like: their previous nanny stayed for more than five years, and Dad would love to find that again.

So if you’re looking for a family who will trust you with real responsibility, give you plenty of freedom, and hopefully keep you around long enough to become part of the rhythm of their lives, this one could be a whole lot of fun.

Requirements and Benefits
