Job Summary

The Tween Dream Team Nanny

Pittsburgh, PA | Allison Park

• Start Date: As soon as the perfect fit is found
• Hours: Monday-Thursday 1 pm - 6 pm; *flexible end times required* 20 hours/week guaranteed
• Hourly Rate: $27–$35/hour
• Children: Two children, ages 10 & 12
• Pets: One large and very loved dog
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks (nanny’s choice + family’s choice), paid holidays, occasional overnights with advance notice

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Do you speak fluent Wordle? Enjoy swapping sparkly crafts for squash tournaments? This unique role supports two kind, co-parenting families who are raising two whip-smart, deeply thoughtful tweens in homes just minutes apart. The children alternate homes each week, and while the addresses may change, the rhythm stays consistent—so if you're flexible, creative, and great with this age group, you’ll settle right in. You'll be part household manager and part trusted mentor—someone who can juggle to-do lists while also guiding two preteens through growing up, school life, and the beautiful chaos in between. During the school year, you’ll be the steady adult presence—prepping healthy lunches, helping with home organization, coordinating schedules across both houses, and managing after-school routines. You might oversee a vet appointment, pick up dry cleaning, or pack bags for summer camp. In between the errands and organization, you’ll be gently guiding two very special kids through sibling moments, growing independence, and the everyday magic of being 10 and 12. Summers bring a more playful rhythm: pool time, craft projects, day camps, and the kind of activities that keep screens off and imaginations active.

The Ideal Nanny IS...Warm, grounded, and emotionally wise. You are a capable grown-up who isn’t fazed by middle school moods or shifting schedules. You’re confident but not controlling—someone kids can respect without ever feeling bossed around. You have experience working with tweens or teens and understand the push-pull of independence and connection. You know how to talk about big feelings, sibling squabbles, and school frustrations without making it a big deal—and you’re happy to jump into a cooking project, a Wordle challenge, or a car ride conversation when the moment’s right. You’ll be a calm, reliable presence across two households with slightly different flows, supporting each family with things like meal prep, light organizing, errands, and keeping everything running smoothly when parents are traveling. You're comfortable navigating family logistics, adjusting on the fly, and using tools like Google Docs, calendars, Amazon, and group texts to stay organized and in sync. This role is for someone who truly enjoys this stage of childhood and wants to be part of a team that values kindness, emotional intelligence, and family. Requirements and Benefits
