Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Lawrenceville

• Start Date: Flexible for the right fit!
• Hours: 15 hours/week, with at least one consistent Friday; flexibility to set a routine schedule (11 am–2 pm works well for the family) | Estimated need of about 3 hours daily
• Hourly Rate: $28-35
• Children: Baby expected in 2026; no current children in the home
• Pets: Two large, lovable doodles
• Paid Vacation: 40 hours vacation, 10 hours sick time, 10 hours personal time annually + 14 paid holidays (federal holidays plus Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and the Friday after Thanksgiving)
• Requirements: up-to-date vaccines and preferably a car large enough to transport 2 large dogs (combined weight 155 lbs)

Responsibilities and Duties

This professional two-dad household—one partner a corporate lawyer, the other a medical student—seeks a proactive household manager who thrives on both hands-on tasks and behind-the-scenes coordination. With long workdays and minimal downtime, they want someone who can create calm, order, and efficiency in their home. Day-to-day, you’ll tackle a wide range of responsibilities: tidying and laundry, changing sheets, dishes, and restocking essentials; scheduling appointments, making phone calls, and running errands; setting up dog care, walking their two gentle doodles, and occasionally chauffeuring them to the dog park or vet. Meal prep is a big win too: while both partners enjoy being in the kitchen, what they need most is help with the behind-the-scenes prep—chopping, organizing, and planning kosher-style dishes (no pork, shellfish, or meat + cheese combos). One prefers tried-and-true comfort meals, while the other is eager to explore new recipes and flavors. This role blends in-person hours with some flexibility to work remotely (for calls, scheduling, or meal planning). The family is preparing for the arrival of their first child in 2026. At that point, they plan to welcome a full-time nanny, so the ability to collaborate and communicate well with another household professional will be essential.
